I've got all the emblems for mine in 24k gold plated, even the corvette script for the back but I'm waiting to get the car painted before I put them on. The set I bought also came with 24k gold plated door handles. They are a little too much for me so if anyone is interested, they have never been installed and I'd give you a good deal on them.

On 90% of cars I'd think that was tacky. But the way you did the anodised..it actually WILL look good. You're right...handles are WAY too much. Thats called the "discriminating eye" in artistic circles...knowing when to stop!:cheers:

I was going to just buy new OEM wheels or have mine refinished to Like new. Then I thought that my 87 would look nice with chromed OEM wheels seeing she is Black & all...thought the chromed wheels would still look Original...but give her some sparkle and personality....Most people love the look..... Then....Many commented that they love the "BLING"....I was like:doh: :doh: ...that was not my intention...to "BLING" out my "Ride"...shes my Vette....& it aint "BLING" dude:slapface: Anyways some would disagree......here are some pics of my "BLING":yay:

Next time home I'm planning on adding some checkered flag graphics to the side of the Vette, and across the drivers side front, one line of 8 inch lettering and another line of 4 inch lettering...:thumbsup:
The good news is that while one of the local shops quoted me $540.00 for the job, I bought all the stuff on line, including shipping, for a little over $80.00, and Eve and I will install it....:yay:

:iagree: I could not agree with you more. I find that from a distance the design of the wheel gets"lost"...the chrome actually blends in, I was thinking of doing something to contrast the center.
I actually love the looks of the 84 & 85 wheels.:thumbsup3: They not only have contrasting black center caps ..but the inside portion of the Turbines are black also. I can't paint them but I might get black center caps...what do you think...would that be enough contrast?? Anyone got some close up pics of 84-85 wheels with the dark center caps???

If anything i would rather de-bling mine. No emblems, no chrome, no problem :banana:

Yeah it's weird... I still don't like the factory wheels and the dice chromies need to go. But it makes the wheels..... palettable.

The MAF cover was deleted when i found a shop that could chrome the plastic.
That is about as close to in focus as you can get when taking pics of this engine.
