Reading some of the post here on SV today and noticed the new Drag Time forum, I got to thinking. How cool would it be to have your own drag strip?! :D .
Correct me if I'm wrong but all one would be needing is a piece of land, some pavement and speed trap? Huh? If open to public, insurance, liability waivers.

It would be great to have own drag strip, I would be out there all the time, I would be jobless and wife would disown me! I'm sure there would be some serious insurance needed to open something like this?!

Drag strip in east coast doesn't exactly do us west coaster's any good! :cheers: :p

Dont you have a track around Saltlake? Heck ours here in Wyoming doesn't know one day to the next if it will be open or not.

I just registered yesterday.... we have a local dragstrip, that's been around for years, and now some idiot 'big wigs' want to build a stupid shopping center there instead!! :mad: We race there every weekend! Someone started an online petition to vote against the sale of the grounds! Drag racing rules!!

Dam that would be bad a#@ to have a drag strip i would be running all the time hummmm i wounder what kinda money it would take to do that i just might look into that tell the wife im going to build a drag strip and we can get a house later :cheers: :willy_nilly:
