How can I pull off the car the rotor on my rear driver side on my 1977 corvette? I have tried everything I can think of with no progress, I have removed the driveshaft, the nut & cotter pin thats behind the driveshaft and also removed the calliper entirely.
Either I'm missing something or I'm loosing it because I can't see anything that is holding this thing on???? I have tried wheel pullers, slide hammers, everything short of cutting this thing off! (j/king)
Any ideas folks? appreciate your help! Josh

If you have removed all the nuts and bolts, you may need to just give it a nice wack to get it off.

Its just rust.get a big hammer and beat the bitch loose. The emergency brake pads are whats holding them on.They get rusted to the rotor. An air hammer might be able to brake up the rust too.Good Luck

the rotors on my 81 were originally held in place from the factory with 5 large rivits, that need to be drilled out.

I just went through this with my 72. The back rivets had been drilled out but the fronts weren't. Once all of the rivets are removed, just tap the rotor from the back with a hammer and it should start to come off. I used a 3lb drilling hammer to tap the rotor off.
Good Luck! :D
