: Detail spray??

Since I got my new baby, I LOVE to spend time with her in the garage. I live near a pretty busy road and dust is always a problem even when the garage door is closed. Every couple days I will spray and wipe my baby down with detailing spray. Seeing there is a section here for me to ask I will: Does detail spray build up on the paint like wax would?

Thank you!

Congrats on the new "baby"! Detail Spray does not form a molecular bond to the surface like waxes and sealants do. Depending on the kind of spray you are using you shouldn't have a problem. One thing to keep in mind...the less you touch the paint, the better. I would suggest using a clean microfiber and lightly dust off the surface if it never leaves the garage during the week. Detail Spray on the weekends!

Most detailers wash off with when you wash your car with soap.

I used to use a brand name detail spray, till I found out it was taking my wax off.

I switched to TheDetailDude's detail spray and I'm VERY happy with it.

Stuff must be good, I've been seeing more and more people talking about this stuff, I'll need to give them a shot when I run out of my existing stash.

One other thing Bubba, for the dust on the car, LIGHTLY use one of those California Dusters, being very careful not to press down.

Do this before detailing.

Best of luck!
