I read in Corvette Fever October 1994, that Jim Monteith modded an 84 vette and only went 14.19 in the 1/4. And then it talks about a 90 vette after that. Does anybody have any info on this 84 vette? He is supose to be an expert on modding vettes. Sounds slow to me, when you read about a stock 84 with 373 gears, 1.6 rockers, 150 shot of NOS, K&N, and records a 11.86 in the 1/4, what gives.

Yeah, no kidding that sounds slow!!!!! For a modded Vette?

I would hope that it would do better than that.. perhaps the mods were poorly chosen and actually depreciated its performance
