Dyno'd on Saturday

Had my first dyno done this weekend and we did 2 pulls with my 2006. 1st pull was 468hp and the second pull was 471hp? Whats with the dealer saying 505hp? :mad:

I assume you used a Dynojet? The stated hp used by Chevy is at the engine. The actual hp avail at the wheels is generally 15-18% less as you lose energy in the transmission thru the output shaft and rear diff.

The most sophisticated* dynos are Mustang dynos. Most C6 Z06s typically dyno on those around 430 rwhp.

*Used most frequently in road race prep.

That actually sounds pretty good. C5 Z06's supposedly having 405hp can put down numbers to the rear tires as low as 330hp. So you're not far off at all. You got a good one! :)

Are you in Albuquerque? Where'd you go to dyno it?
