: Reasons We Love Being Vette Owners
darren6114 09-10-2008, 05:57 PM Today im driving to a buddies house for dinner. Its horrid out. Rain all day, humid, still hot. Not the picture perfect day to take a 20-30 mile country road drive. As i am driving trough town everyone is in a hurry cutting people off and i can't wait to get to the open roads. Some honda cuts me off and i just want to blow the doors off but dont feel like getting a ticket this is rush hour and cops are out to get us Marines. As i pull up to a stop light accross the way is a sexy blue C5. He gets the light first and as he drives by makes sure to wave. NO OTHER CAR OWNER IN THE WORLD WOULD EVEN CARE IF THEY SEEN ANOTHER HONDA OR SILVERADO BUT US WE TRUELY LOVE BEING ONE OF THE FEW THE PRIVLEGED TO DRIVE THE MOST PERFECTLY ENGINERED AMERICAN SPORTS CAR, AND UNTIL PROVEN OTHER WISE ANYONE ELSE WHO DOES IS ALRIGHT IN MY BOOK.
bigblock427 09-10-2008, 06:00 PM I agree.

02RonZ06 09-10-2008, 06:00 PM I hear ya, I wave to all Corvette drivers, most wave back, and/or first, I don't worry about the ones that don't casue I know I have once in a while missed one passing by me until it was to late and I did see them waving at the last second, so I know it happens.
It is a great feeling to be driving such a machine in my opinion.
Thanks for your service to our country too.

Yeah, I feel the same way driving my Vette. It's a very special car, that makes me feel... like a kid again. Each and every time I drive it, I'm excited about it.

darren6114 09-11-2008, 09:23 AM weather is still holding up and well im about to go out for a while cant wait this is the first day this week it hasent rained yet. i plan on taking some pix to theres nothing fancy looking to my vette yet but i am soon to order the c6 z06 replica wheels and getting the c5 rear brake vents and the corvette front and rear chrome bumper inserts will have a lil bit more flash here soon.
C5GreyVert 09-11-2008, 11:36 AM Also a thanks for your service. I had one of those Honda two seaters stop by me a while ago and the driver asked me if I wanted to race for pinks. Without really thinking about it I replyed, "I really don't know what I would do with a Honda, but thanks anyway." I love driving my '03 vert and it is my daily driver until the snow hits the ground.

darren6114 09-11-2008, 06:31 PM ok i am finnaly home damn i love being on vacation. Today was a time no rain not humid just a good day a lil cloudy but just keep the sun out of my eyes. i went farther into the countryside than i have ever gone i ended up two counties over and had a great drive found some long winding roads. Did a couple of 0-to be un named down long straights and there was no one in sight for miles. i Scared my wife when i decided i didnt want to just put her back in her seat any more had a lil fun with no traction control. The day was just perfect and when i thought it couldnt get any better i got home and on my pourch was my new tool set that i ordered. Again thinking the day couldnt get any better the wife wanted to go to the mall and pick out some sunglasses. i walk out with another 100+ bucks worth of tools im really staring a collection. TODAY WAS AN AWESOME DAY AND I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A DAY LIKE TODAY SOON
