This is the 2nd 2009 C6 we have been able to dyno. Results are within 5 hp of the last one we did.

Red was the 1st pull with a 196 coolant temp. The Green was the 2nd pull at 198 coolant temp.

The last 09 we did made 406 RWHP with 123 miles on it.

What have you all done to them? Or are these just base pulls?

This car was 100% bone stock! 1700 miles and came from 3 hours away and right onto the dyno. I still can't believe that they are coming in that strong but thats two in a row that made over 400.

I guess as more roll in we will see a true trend.

Sound...........sounded like a stocker with the NPP fuse pulled!

Damn those pulls are pretty close on HP from one another and the car was stock? Looks like more of the power is getting to the ground from older C6's huh?

How much power can be gained from just a tune? I'm new here and to Corvettes and looking around at different things.

Thanks

Pete,

TYPICALLY a good tune job can yield a 10-18 hp gain. Whats really important here is improved mid range, better throttle response and some improved fuel economy. Things not found on a dyno sheet that measures WOT gains only.

You can also get better fuel economy also correct? Who cares, more power  My mechanic was telling me about getting better fuel economy. I was thinking who cares, what about the HP. :patriot:

That is absolutely correct! A stock car with a tune will generally pick up 2-3 MPG. That along with a NOTICABLE improvement in throttle response is "almost" as nice a the HP gain:thumbsup:

They show the power at all rpm's not just
WOT gains. How do you know about
improved mid range if they don't?
