antenna on 03 convert fails to go down completely, cleaning and lube with silicone works for a while but not a complete fix - any ideas or experiences would be appreciated, thanks.

I have a 2002 Z06, which came stock with the 30 inch or so stationary antennea. which since I have replaced with a shorter one, about 10-12 inches, it looks great, and they even make them in billet aluminum, mine is gloss black. Just a thought, one less problem that you would have to worry about. here is a picture of it:

On one of my older Vettes the motor had just plain wore out and it would not fully retract the antenna. I would say it needs replaced.

Thanks Tim, I'm waiting for the warmer weather to hit here soon, it has been unseasonably cold for the past few weeks here in southeastern Tennessee.
