guestion(s) concerning 94 electrical circuitry

Ref: 1994 Owners Manual, pages 220-222.. With key in off position (car locked) which circuit is still hot. In other words, it can be operated with the key off. For example the Hazard Flashers / Brake switch still has power, also the hatch or deck lid release still has power to it. What others circuit(s) might still be active with the key off. If you have the manual let me know which fuse(s) by number which would qualify. I'm trying to hunt down a short in the car.. Thanks for your help or any suggestions.

A short or a power drain ?
A direct short will blow whatever fuse is feeding it

Several circuits are fed direct from the battery with protection from fusible links , not the internal fuse panel

Anthony, your digital voltmeter will have a scale that will go up to about 10 amps. You just have to plug the hot terminal into the "amp" terminal. Then disconnect your battery cable and put the amp gauge in between the disconnected connections and see how many amps it's drawing. That will give you a clue. Most often small draws come from either the dome light or courtesy lights. And if your car has an underhood light that uses a mercury switch it may be out of adjustment and burning when your hood is closed.

Start pulling the fuses out to see if the amp draw changes.
If it doesn't then you know the drain is not from one of the fused circuits

The CDM and bose amps can cause a weird power drain. My 90 had this and some days would be fine and others battery would die.
