Is it me or are Corvette owners becoming younger these days? In the last week I've seen 2 C6's being driven my guys I would have to guess were in their early 20's and one C5 convertible who flat out looked like a teen.
I think it's good, I remember 10 years ago and most Corvette owners had gray hair
Well since these cars are devaluing at record rates, they are now dropping into the price range younger guys can afford.
That said, if you attend any Corvette gathering (Carlisle, Corvette Museum caravan, local shows, toys for tots run, etc etc) you will see 95% + of the people there are 40+ years old. I just turned 27 and every time I go to one of those I'm always one of the youngest guys there, usually the youngest with a C6.
way to forget your younger buddy sam i go to most of the corvette things you do and my 2 years younger on my 3rd vette and its the same year as yours:cheers:
Got my first vette at 24 and am on my second vette at 28. Some people like to make fun but then I point out that not only are they jealous, they can't keep up hahaha
:burnout:
Besides, there is no age limit on class and performance
Purchased my first corvette at 18 and have been owning them for the past 35 years. started with a 67 big block, that car would hook anyone into corvette's (wish I still had it) had a 79 for a short time while still having the 67, sold the 67 after 15 years. Purchased a 59 had it for a couple years. Purchased my 71 LT1 convertible (still have) and now have a 05 triple black, z51, 6 speed convertible. Yeah I have grey hair now, but I wouldn't trade the last 35 corvette driving years for nothing, ok maybe a new ZR1.
I bought my C5 a few months before turning 21. Was it a lot of money? Sure... but for the price of a used C5 Convertible it's also way to much fun. :burnout:
