Front end Shakes

i recently started driving my 1990 and while driving it started shaking and got worse as i got faster. once i hit 63 mph the shaking got so bad that i had to back off the accelorater and i have never had this problem at all the car has never shaked like this. does any have any suggestions to what this might be

Could be lots of things...tires, suspension, steering. I would look at tires/wheels first. Swap front to back and drive. If problem is not as bad then the problem is in the tire/wheel. Have them balanced. If it is still as bad, take it to a suspension shop and get an estimate. This will tell you what is wrong. You might be able to fix it yourself.

Flat spots are more common than you think.

I am surprised how easy it is to get flat spots on these big tires.

Takes running around a fair bit to get it worked out too. It will not be gone after just going around the block. But, so far, it eventually does go away.

I mention this assuming it did not vibrate when you put it away last time. Right now Omaha, NE has the worst chug holes ever and you could easily ruin a tire and/or rim rather easy today.

Totally agree, but it made me think... what pressure is evryone running in their tires?

Just looked at all my manuals and they all say to go look at the plate on the driver door. I guess I can do that.

front or back shake? how about a u-joint seized on a driveline? Happened on my camaro after a winter rest
