2010 Corvette Atlanta Annual Car Show

Last year the Corvette Atlanta Annual Car Show was born and as the name would imply the show paid homage to the most well known sports car perhaps of all time, the Chevrolet Corvette. Last year’s show had on display over 150 new and classic Corvettes and this year’s show is promised to be many times bigger and better.

This year’s show is being put on by Corvette Atlanta, which is a Corvette Club that boasts hundreds of members, and Atlanta dealer Jim Ellis Chevrolet. The event will be held April 10th at the dealership’s newly expanded facilities which are just inside 285 in Atlanta. Anyone in the area, or even outside of the area, will want to make it for this year’s event as it is anticipated to be heavily attended and have hundreds of custom and stock Vettes on display. While there is no guarantee of how many Vettes there will be, there is an extra incentive for those who belong to a Corvette Club to get involved.

1To encourage the different Corvette Clubs across the country to participate in the car show Jim Ellis Chevrolet will award a special prize of $1,000 to the club that brings the most Corvettes to the show. Additionally, each and every Corvette that comes to the show will be allowed to participate in any of a number of events that the show will feature. There will be multiple prizes to be won by the participants and contests will include Best Paint Job, Best in Show, Best Custom, and more. The show promises something for everyone in attendance.

Along with the car show and all the multiple contests there will also be something for even the youngest Corvette enthusiast in attendance. The show will have many different booths set up so that everyone, young and old, can learn a little more about the great American icon. While you may think you have a handle on everything that the Vette represents, you will likely find out some information you never knew before.

Of course there will also be an opportunity to buy some highly sought after parts as there will also be various vendors set up with everything under the sun to offer for your Vette. Whether you are looking for custom or stock you will find it at the show.

Best of all, the show is designed to help a worthy cause. Proceeds from the Corvette Atlanta car show will go to a worthy cause as Aflac Cancer Center for Children’s Healthcare Atlanta will be the beneficiary of the funds. Last year’s event saw over $5,000.00 raised for the cause and this year the outcome hopefully will be much more.

Really you have nothing to lose. A fun filled day full of events and Corvettes as far as the eye can see. Any money that you do spend will be money that is spent to go towards a good cause. People and Corvettes helping other people, life really doesn’t get any better than that.
